A Timeless Incentive Experience in Kyoto, Japan
Lead Time: 8 months
Delegates: 210 pax | Asia-Pacific Incentive Group
Kyoto, the former capital of Japan, is a city steeped in history and tradition. With its rich cultural heritage and stunning landscapes, it offered endless possibilities for crafting an unforgettable incentive experience. As a returning client’s preferred destination, organizing this trip was not only seamless but also an absolute joy.
The trip began with delegates staying at a hotel near the iconic Nanzenji Temple, allowing them to be surrounded by Kyoto’s serene beauty. In collaboration with our local partners, we curated a highlight lunch at Nanzenji Temple, an experience that seamlessly blended history, culture, and luxury.
To make this moment even more special, the awards ceremony took place during lunch—a unique departure from the usual gala-style setting. Delegates dressed in traditional kimonos, complete with matching bags and slippers, evoking a sense of stepping back in time. They arrived at the temple in style, enjoying a traditional rickshaw ride before indulging in a refined Japanese meal.
The awards ceremony was held in one of Kyoto’s exquisite theaters, featuring an unforgettable Samurai performance. The awards were presented in an authentic Genko offering ceremony, adding a touch of historic grandeur to the occasion.
The Gala Dinner was hosted at the hotel, transformed with a Japanese Garden-inspired theme at every table. The ambiance was both elegant and immersive, perfectly complementing the rich cultural elements of the evening. Entertainment was a blend of modern and traditional performances, including a magician’s mesmerizing act and a K-Pop violinist, who brought a unique and vibrant energy to the night.
With the event taking place during autumn, Kyoto’s natural scenery was at its peak, providing a breathtaking backdrop for the optional activities. Delegates had the opportunity to choose from a variety of immersive experiences:
Historic Landmarks Tour – Visits to Kyoto’s Imperial Palace, the iconic Golden Pavilion (Kinkaku-ji), and the famous Nara Temple, home to the sacred deer of Nara Park.
The event was an overwhelming success, with delegates raving about their experiences. From traditional elegance to modern entertainment, immersive cultural moments to breathtaking landscapes, this incentive trip captured the essence of Kyoto in every possible way.
Another seamless and unforgettable incentive journey in the books!
