THAI GOLDEN LOTUS NIGHT

THAI GOLDEN LOTUS NIGHT

An unforgettable gala dinner for a group of 120 pax which became a finalist in the Theme Event Category at the Thailand Creative Event Awards.

MC Planner was tasked to organize the whole event for a global logistics company for their 74 leaders from 26 countries and 48 global network  partners from 33 countries which included a sophisticated gala night held at the same function room where His Majesty, The Late King Bhumibol Adulyadej, used to host his special guests (members of the monarchies from around the world) for his 60th anniversary of his accession to the throne in 2006 and the APEC hosting in 2005.

On the night of the gala, the delegates took a Thai rice barge from the pier to the dinner venue. Upon arrival at the pier, delegates were welcomed by a Thai Long Drum performers and then were directed to the grand hall for a souvenir group photo before proceeding on the ground floor for their lovely cocktail reception with the view of the majestic  Grand Palace and the grandeur of the Chao Phraya River.

During the  cocktail reception, delegates engaged in a few live Thai food demonstrations and live Thai umbrella painting and even got a chance to watch a video documenting the history of the venue. The emcee then invited everyone to move up to the main hall of the venue for their dinner. Once everyone is settled, the emcee invited the VIP for the Welcome Remarks and followed by champagne toasting before officially inviting everyone for a night of celebration and camaraderie.

While the delegates are enjoying the first course of their Thai Fusion Menu catered by our partner 5-star hotel, they were serenaded by a contemporary Thai Jazz Fusio band fusing Thai musical instruments in their repertoire. While second and third courses are being served, our professional transvestite performers kicked off the night with their “Welcome To Thailand” show. Towards the latter part of the program, our transvestite performers pulled out some gentlemen from the crowd for a funny, interactive show.

An Award Ceremony was also conducted to honor those hardworking delegates and ever loyal partners. And just before the event is about to wrap, the emcee called all November celebrants to come on stage as a special birthday cake with candles for them to blow await them. Everyone sang the Happy Birthday song accompanied by the our Thai Jazz Fusion Band.

On the wayout, our magnificent transvestite performers greeted and wai everyone goodbye as delegates can’t help but to take a few more photo souvenirs with them.

BACK TO SCHOOL FOR A CAUSE

BACK TO SCHOOL FOR A CAUSE

180 pax joined hand-in-hand with the students and school officials of a local school along the river for a fun day of refurbishment.

The client wanted an activity that will give back to the “Thai Community” as part of their main activity in Bangkok for their annual conference in 2019.  MC Planner went through several CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility)  Programs until they selected the School Renovation Project. Once decided, MC Planner was tasked to look for a school that is not too far from the hotel where they are staying or along the Chao Phraya River where we can design other programs after the CSR Program. Once the school was also identified to do the group CSR School Renovation Project, transportation logistics and cocktails/dinner events were then designed based on the school venue.

MC Planner also factored in the logistics for transporting 180 pax of the delegates since the CSR eventuated at the same time when the ASEAN Summit in Bangkok happened which at certain times, most of the main roads were closed off for the VIP dignitaries. This led MC Planner to arrange 10 police escorts to accompany the five coaches arranged to expedite the transfer to the school.

As for the school venue, it consisted of two wings. The CSR activities were designed around improving the First Aid Room where a patient’s bed was placed in the room and a First Aid Cabinet was also installed. The Art Room was bare and the whole room was painted brand new while some of the old students’ art projects were placed back. Additionally, the delegates also painted new cartoon characters to further beautify the room. For The Library Room, some furniture were removed and have been replaced by a more children friendly style with a Japanese Tatami style seats and tables. Vinyl carpet was also installed. New cartoon character book shelves were also designed, painted and later installed. Older shelves were also painted to give them a new fresh look. School walkways, corridor rails and stair rails were also painted while majority of the old students’ tables and chairs were scraped using sandpapers and later on been varnished to give those fresh looks.

The students, teachers  and school administrators were present onsite to lend the delegates a helping hand, giving  the students the opportunity to interact with foreigners and understand the value of community service.

Other gifts of love from the client include:

  • Children’s books
  • Patient’s bed
  • 10 units of Electric Fans to be placed in the classrooms
  • 6 units of  Large Factory Fans were installed in the school stadium
  • 2 new Basketball Hoops were also installed in the stadium
  • Football balls were also donated to the school

Plentiful of snacks and refreshments were served the entire time for all the students, school faculty members & administrators and the delegates while working hand-in-hand for this beautiful project.

This even made extraordinary for us when the association entrusted MC Planner to handle their event.
